Private dental work

I'd love some advice on this. I'm registered with nhs dentist, for which I'm very grateful and appreciative. Decided to get second opinion on something that needs doing from another, private dentist. Private dentist wants me to have the same treatment that the nhs dentist has tried to make work but the filling keeps coming out. Private dentist says they have more time to do a more thorough job, to build the filling up so that it's stronger.
Which makes sense and they did a great sales job on me but is eye wateringly expensive. Private dentist strongly advises against the nhs dentist's suggestion of what to do instead of the filling.
It's in a very prominent position so it needs sorting.
Thanks for any insight.

Is the private dentist going to give you a guarantee of success and fix any issues that may arise for free?

Imagine if it fails and you’ve spent all that money.
Sorry, not helpful I know. it’s just I’ve got a similar issue that will cost around £2,500 for private work that they will only guarantee for one year (but should last a lot longer) or an okay-ish NHS option for £90 ish. It’s hard.

Especially as I don’t have £2,500 spare!

Private dentist does indeed have more time...an nhs amalagam filling will come out easier than the newer acrylic types the private dentists might use....my local private dentist charges about 70 for a white filling and 100 for composite bonding....could you have that done....?.....i go on holiday to turkey each year so get my teeth done over there....unless an emergency....prices are low and quality is excellent.
