Hi

I've been feeling weird and done an ecg on my Apple Watch but don't understand it .

Can anyone tell me if the 'dip' is normal between 1 second and 2

Is this ecg normal ?

A seconds worth of data on an Apple Watch isn't really enough for anyone to comment on. Do you have the whole data from the measurement? Apple Watch flags AF so I wouldn't be worried.

What do you mean by feeling weird?

LanaDelRaybans · 15/04/2023 20:35

Also it looks like you moved or jolted / weren't sitting still.

dietcokelime · 15/04/2023 20:36

Did you stay totally still? Looks like movement.

You need several leads and a long strip to read anything into an ecg. It looks normal at the start and pretty much at the end, so I suspect the jiggly bit is just an artefact. Its called a rhythm strip for a reason. The strip is long enough to detect the rhythm.

How do you even do an ECG on Apple watch? Is it anywhere near your actual heart? Does it not read it for you?!?

Throwncrumbs · 15/04/2023 20:59

It’s not called a 12 lead ecg for nothing when a doctor asks for one in hospital!

Dontlistitonfacebook · 15/04/2023 21:00

No one can advise on that

sproutsandparsnips · 15/04/2023 21:01

That's just a rhythm strip, not a 12 lead. I think it's just artefact. Not enough provided to see if it's sinus rhythm.

Apple Watch data is v unreliable. Don't trust it.

Thanks.

I was actually advised my cardiologist to use the Apple Watch ECG and to record all heart data and send it across to her.
