Thumb pain

Not sure what I done to my thumb don't know if it's arthritis
I bury my thumb y putting pressure on it can't remember what I was doing and I had a shooting pain
Since then it clicks like a bone moving when I wiggle it
And in the morning it's stiff and I can't move it
I can't do my laces up anymore lol
Do you think it's arthritis or a sprain ?
What can I do to fix it

Have you tried an anti inflammatory?
I do have arthritis in my thumbs, hands & wrists & they do help a little.

What name is it are they over the counter ones

I have arthritis in my thumbs and your description does not sound like what I feel.

The clicking is often a symptom of trigger finger (or thumb in this case). Google it... I also had it in my thumb - have had two cortisone shots in it, five years apart, which helped (but ouch!). No doubt there would be a very long wait for them on the NHS. My doctor said he would only do 2 shots - after that it's surgery. So when it started to come back again I googled and tried Bromelain supplements - they worked great, so worth a try!
