i dunno but i'm going to the dr this afternoon as i suspect i have this, what symptons do you have?

It's not really something that can be solved with one standard diet tbh. Everyone has different 'trigger' foods. The best way to work out your diet, is to make a diary of food that doesn't sit well with you and then take them out and see what happens.

DH was diagnosed with IBS several years ago and things like curries (homemade or otherwise) pizzas and tomatoes were the worst.

I agree with Maureen, it's a process of elimination in a way. I know that the foods that get me are onions, fried things, garlic and too much wheat - it took me a couple of years to suss this out though! I think it depends on your symptoms a bit too

I have recently been put back on medication for my IBS as it has flared up after a couple of years of calm (pg and bf did wonders!).

good luck.

is it best to stay on a normal diet until the Bloods are done? also if you know the foods like pasta, Bread, pots, and I think ceral, obviously you stop them but do you switch to gluten free..

i didnt get bloods done; they'd tested poo samples to rule out infection but apparently my symptoms were classic and its related to stress, like this recent flare up. I would maybe keep your diet the same till after your bloods (what are they looking for in your blood?). I didnt go onto gluten free things, just cut down. I changed my cereal from weetabix to a rice based one from the health food shop and stopped having sandwiches for lunch every day. i still had wholewheat pasta, just not as often. potatoes were fine for me.
my gp gave me some helpful info, hopefully yours will do the same once your blood etc is done.
oh,a nd i have recently been recommended aloe vera which i'm going to look into.
