As of Monday I'm gonna start my diet
I'm gonna stuff my face this weekend
My mind is set for Monday
Would like some tips
Dos and don't

My advice would be don’t stuff your face this weekend!
Why exceed calories over the next 2 days when you want to lose weight? it almost feels like you are on a self sabotage mission before you start.

Log everything on my fitness pal or similar to keep yourself accountable and help you see where sneaky calories are hidden. Don’t deny yourself things, just stick to a calorie target.

Not literally stuff my face just a glass or 2 of wine and a cooked breakfast in morning really

Could do with losing a stone
Gonna be focus and determination to do well

If you eat between meals cut that out with a combination of:

  • logging the success of avoiding snacks at points you know you have them
  • if you are really hungry when you would normally snack, drink water, if that doesn't work have a small piece of fruit or veg only then
  • only buying food once a week and not buying food you would snack on
  • save the money you are not spending on eating snacks by transferring it to a separate account, use that money for anything you need to keep you active so for example going for a swim, buying a pair of trainers or something that helps motivate you like a health magazine or ingredients to make a new healthy recipe that you have never tried before
  • do something different when you tend to buy snacks so if you have a habit of having a latte or picking up a chocolate bar when you are on your way home, go a different way
