Hi , I’ve been in a lot of pain with my outer hips since lock down I phoned my Dr on one occasion and the physio sent me hip exercises which didn’t help as silly as it sounds I’ve learnt to live with the pain occasionally taking an ibuprofen. However it’s starting to get me down at night as it’s so painful to lay on either of my sides . I bit the bullet yesterday and phoned my GP she asked the physio to phone me , I’ve just had a call & she thinks it’s bursitis , I’ve got my first physio appointment in 2 weeks she said it might be her colleague that will see me who is a man .
what should I expect she mentioned massage , would I need to strip down to my knickers ? I usually wear sports leggings .

I wore leggings for my appointment and wasn't asked to take clothes off.

My physio recommended sleeping with a pillow between my knees to keep my hips in alignment (in fact I've just ordered a special knee sleep pillow). She also told me to not sit with one leg crossed over the other. Those two things have helped considerably already.
