Sorry a bit of a long one.

7 days ago a headache started, a mild dull one. 2 days later the fatigue has been areal accompanied by feeling emotional. The headache is now centred on the bridge of my nose and eyes. 2 days ago I got pain in my neck which hasn't affected movement. I've not had a temp or expreienced sensitivity to light. My nose has been blocked on and off but the snot is clear.

The neck pain and face/head pain isn't shifting with paracetamol or ibuprofen.

Current symptoms: neck pain, sinus pain, nausea on/off, fatigue and overall weakness.

Some a couple of COVID which are negative.

What do people think it is - sinus infection or viral?

I have 2 young children and really struggling.

Hi @Onthehill12345 , really sorry to hear you're so poorly, but I could basically have written your post! 😬 Even down to the feeling emotional, I've been in tears a couple of times in the last 2 days. My symptoms have been going on a bit longer than yours and yesterday I was told it's a sinus infection. Should've known really, not the first time I've had it, but my body/memory likes to play tricks on me 🙄 Anyway I had to wait for someone to pick up the antibiotic prescription for me so have taken my first dose this morning and felt very nauseous for the first hour after taking it, but that has settled and my mood is starting to improve. (In the last 24 hours it had plummeted, because I've been putting a brave face on things for a while and finally couldn't cope with the horrid symptoms any longer 😔)

Hope this helps and you can get an urgent GP appointment/consultation sorted very soon.

You need to do nasal rinses as well, they are not pleasant (ask me how I know😂) The Neilmed bottle is the best IMO

If you stick with it it will diminish eventually, but in all honesty IMO you are never alone with a sinus infection it is always hanging around waiting to reintroduce itself.

My brother and his wife who are both plagued with sinusitis are looking at these, https://www.salinplus.com/pages/why-salin-plus

They will be my guinea pig.

@baroqueandblue sorry to hear you're poorly too, it's horrible. I got Abs on Tueaday - doxycycline- they have taken my neck pain away but still not feeling right. I got prescribed a sterikd nasal spray too.

I can now breath perfectly through my nose but my face is puffy and I feel so exhausted and fatigued and the nausea hasn't budged at all. How long will this last?!

@OKFinally I have been doing saline rinses with Sterimar, is the Neilmed bottle better?

Thank you for your replies

I just find the Nelimed bottle easier.

It’s a bug of some sort I had exactly the same as this for 6 weeks couldn’t work out what was wrong with me I went to the doctors 3 times I felt so terrible and abit panicked as to what it was. The antibiotics and nasal steroid spray didn’t make much of a dent in it. It just went in the end. I have since heard of three people with the same thing.

Thanks for sharing @Lotus717. 6 weeks...eek.i hope you're feeling better now. It sounds like I've got a few more weeks to go 😫
