Severe pain after wisdom tooth extraction

I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted under GA on Thursday.
One of them in particular is causing severe pain that I am barely coping with. That is the same one that the dentist said ran very close to the nerve so was high risk for nerve damage.
I went to the emergency dentist yesterday and they’ve prescribed antibiotics in case of infection but I’m not noticing any improvement yet. Apparently it’s been so well stitched over that they weren’t even able to check if I had a dry socket.
Right from when I woke up from the GA this area of my mouth was the most painful which is making me worry that perhaps this pain is caused by nerve damage and could therefore be long term or even permanent?

It sounds like it could be a dry socket. I have suffered and I told the dentist the pain was worse than childbirth! I'd go back and see if they can unstitch, pack and re stitch it.

Yes dry socket is one of the worst. 💐

@Dipyourfeetin how did you get on? Was it dry socket?
