Help! Puffy eye!

[Halfull]

Woken up this morning with a very swollen eye area - lid is swollen and one huge bag under it… but just the one, the other side is normal. No pain or obvious damage but slightly itchy. Doesn’t look infected, no discharge and eyeball is fine. Obviously not worth hassling anyone medical on Easter Sunday!

Don’t think it’s an allergic reaction as haven’t done anything unusual, but would like it to go away because it looks ridiculous and my eye is half closed. Any advice on how to reduce swelling, wwyd?

Frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel? Could it be anything to do with your bedding?

Could be my eye mask (I need total blackout). That’s going in the wash right now!

I’ll try icing it, it’s getting worse and it’ll be closed by lunchtime at this rate…

Take some anti histamine. Also I'd take a photo of it now so you can tell if it's better or worse later.

Good idea thanks. Taken a photo but without a liberal dose of moisturiser hiding the lines and a shot of mascara I can’t bring myself to share. It’s the eye of an 80 year old grandmother, which would be fine if I was one….

anti histamine is a great idea and have no idea why it didn’t occur to me but I guess that’s why I asked!
