Longsightedness got better

Was due an eye test anyway but knew I needed to go in as have had headaches and have been struggling to see. Went and my prescription in my left eye had gone from +3.00 to +1.25 and right from +2.50 to +0.75 so not drastic but a change my astigmatism has got slightly worse.

I've googled and can't seem to get alot of infor about it getting better.

Anyone experienced this ?

Surely it is worse not better?

How old are you OP?

Riggsisadino · 07/04/2023 22:53

The bigger the number the higher the prescription I may have phrased it wrong so in left eye for example the old prescription was +3.00 new one is +1.75

I am short sighted and its got better over the years. I can't remember the numbers but my prescription is only about -1. It was never more than -1.75 but still got better.

No if she was short sighted it would be minus

whatthebejesus · 07/04/2023 22:55

Mine did! I used to have a +1.5 and now I don't have any prescription! Completely corrected itself when I stopped staring at computer screens and driving long distances

Doesn't longsightedness normally correct itself in people in their teens and twenties? It can also keep changing until you start becoming shortsighted instead. And then you hit middle age and get to be both shortsighted and longsighted at the same time (but at least you won't have to worry about that for a while 🙂)
