Could antibiotics cause a week of tiredness and nausea after stopping them?

I took a 2/3 day course of antibiotics for a UTI last week (Thu-Fri) and have been feeling noticeably very tired since the Sat/Sun, with mild on-off nausea. Could the antibiotics still be causing this despite finishing them a week ago? The other unlikely possibility is pregnancy, although I'm only 10 days post ovulation today - surely too early to have been experiencing nearly a week of tiredness and nausea?

In my experience yes. I've had anti B's a handful of times and each time they've made me poorly and miserable. I can't wait to get them out my system. Horrible things.

It could be the medication or just recovery from the illness, it's difficult to tell but you should gradually improve. Unless you're pregnant! Could be any of those reasons.

Definitely yes. I have had lots of courses of antibiotics over the years and they often make me feel worse.

Thanks, it's what I suspect too. Really fed up with the tiredness now - I'm getting around 8 hours of sleep a night but am so noticeably fatigued even on waking and then throughout the day, it comes in waves. Hope it goes away soon. I probably messed up my gut bacteria taking them and it's making me feel crap. :(

Or it. Could still be your UTI hasn't cleared.
Worth a dip test. If you can get to a dr then Superdrug will send you one in the post

If you only had 2 or 3 days worth then i would say no. Its most likely your body is still fighting the original infection. Go back to your GP.

If you had said 7 to 10 days worth then my answer would be different.
