I'm in my mid 30s and incredibly moley; as a result I've always kept a close eye on things (so I thought!) and closely monitored/ gotten checked out any that looked suss.
The other day I noticed a mole on my chest looked a bit red. I did my usual due diligence and checked out past pics to see if it was there. It's visible (but smaller) in a pic in 2020. It isn't there at all in a pic from 2018. I'm now absolutely shitting myself especially because while it isn't dark or crusty, it does look atypical generally speaking. It's like a light brown uneven central strip surrounded by a pale pinky brown oval.
Got a private docs appointment last week as I couldn't even get through to reception at my GP The GP said she wasn't concerned as it's still pretty small (only 3-4mm) and despite growing over 3 years, that's a pretty small/ slow rate of growth. I've got a derm consultation with possible excision in a few weeks (the soonest I could get) but am frankly losing my mind with worry until then.
I don't know if anyone else has had a new mole show up and it not be sinister. Looking for any kind of reassurance I can get at this point, to be honest
