Was this a migraine?

Yesterday I felt sick all morning but this can be something normal for me sometimes as I have a big chocolate cyst on my ovary and can cause ibs type symptoms. I'm currently on a waiting list as long as an elephant's trunk for my next consultation and they have said it's 9cm. Anyway back to yesterday. I had my lunch (ryvita with ham and laughing cow spread) nothing out the ordinary I have it most days and I went for a walk. In the afternoon I was in a training session and started feeling really sick. The big screen we were looking at seemed really bright and my colleagues who were speaking seemed far away. I felt really sweaty and had stomach ache and nausea. Went to toilet and came back. Ten minutes later I rushed out again and was sick in the toilet. I was sent home as I obviously wasn't well. I went home and got into bed. On way home I started with a dull ache in my head which was coming and going in waves. But not excruciating. Later I managed half a piece of dry toast and a walk for some fresh air. Today I feel really tired. I've had migraines before but usually zig zags in vision and more of a headache. I felt so embarrassed

Migraine can be triggered by light. Mine are triggered by stress and symptoms vary but I usually feel sick. Vision effects too. DH had one a couple of years ago and was admitted to hospital because they thought it was a stroke. He couldn’t see, could form a sentence or stand.

Thank you @AdoraBell my DH also suffered from them for a time and had an ambulance come one morning because he thought he was having a stroke. Hope yours and you are ok now. I'm just wondering if the nausea could be happening that long before the rest of it. Today I feel weak and achey and also felt like that for the last few days as well. I guess I should just rest

To add that must have been terrifying. Yesterday was scary enough

Yes, there is a name for it but after a migraine you can feel very tired & listless. It takes a while to bounce back.

Migraines take many forms, everyone has a slightly different version. I get a really metallic taste in my mouth first, that’s my warning, then nausea and then the pounding head and sore eyes.

Yes, it could well have been a migraine. Feeling awful the next day is common as well, sadly! It's called 'postdrome'. Rest up if you can - migraine can really take it out of you.

Thank you both. That's reassuring, my anxiety (diagnosed) has been a bit bad lately so I'm wondering if I've stressed myself. Need to chill out. Luckily I'm on leave until a week on Monday now and my dd is 10 so doesn't need quite as much attention. We can do some nice, fun things together.
