This is my thread from last week.

Basically on Friday me, Trace2, our dh's, my ds and trace2's dd went swimming (its a private pool at a house that they rent out) Saturday morning my ds got up and couldn't walk and had red lumpy blotches on his feet, we took him to a and e and they thought it was an infection as he had swollen glands. Trace2's dd and all the adults were fine. Now her ds has woke up this morning the same as my ds was after going to the same pool yesterday. Both our ds' spent most time walking round the edge of the pool rather than in the water.

Have posted on your other thread, but yes, sounds like possible a bacteria in the pool that has not been properly maintained/chlorinated. You need to advise owners asap and it needs to be properly cleaned.

Might be worth mentioning to environmental health, but TBH they have no jurisdiction over a private pool

Can you talk to the owners?

Phoenix · 14/02/2008 09:20

But trace2's dd is only 8 month old so if it was the pool surely it would affect her too and us. What could be round the outside of the pool that could have affected the boys like this?

morningpaper · 14/02/2008 09:21

Just some bacteria or other

Sounds like the same source though

Bacteria don't always affect everyone in the same way - otherwise we would all die off in ten minutes

trace2 · 14/02/2008 09:43

tryed ringing the owner no answer yet ill try when i get back from a&e

They are keeping trace2's ds in hospital tonight. They don't seem to want to believe her story about the swimming and think he's got arthiritis or a broken foot .
