Kidney infection advice?

Hi,
I was diagnosed with a kidney infection at out of hours on Sunday night, given Cefalexin. It seemed to work wonders and I felt a lot better yesterday. Overnight, I developed sharp stabbing pains in my urethra and pelvic region and this morning it feels like I’m peeing razor blades again. There was a small amount of blood on the toilet paper too. Should I contact my GP again or is this expected and the antibiotics need more time to work?

GP again. You don't mess about with kidney infections

Thanks for replying! Went back to the GP today who said he wasn’t concerned re the bleeding. I’m not convinced the antibiotics are helping but the advice has been to wait it out
