Hi everyone, I have had SVT all my life, only diagnosed in the last few years and I had an unsuccessful ablation 2 years ago. Have since had a baby and all through the pregnancy had prolonged and scary attacks where I had to be converted in A&E many times. I am on the list for a second ablation. I have found recently that I am so paranoid about my heart, it's really affecting me. Any aches and pains I have I get convinced I'm having a heart attack, I'm constantly monitoring my rate. Online research seems to be mixed about whether SVT can cause heart attacks or more serious issues....I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or information? My ablation surgeon said it was 'the best heart condition to have' - which is great but it's still horrendous when it happens. Has anyone experienced more serious complications stemming from it? Anybody know if the risks for serious illness are increased? Or is it all just in my head? Thank you
