you aren't really hungry though are you?

MUM23ASD · 13/02/2008 14:54

no...thats what is bothering me.

i am having bloodtests tomorrow to rule out physical reasons for my need to eat constantly...as up to now we assumed its all mental health issues (i have OCD)...but doctor has also referred me to a dietician.

Can you find something to do that will take your mind off it? Go out for a walk? Tidy the garden a bit? Get the ironing board out?

MUM23ASD · 13/02/2008 14:57

i know that works cos if i have someone visit and they are here for an hour i can manage a whole hour without eating.

it is so frustrating.

Well that's good. Are you able to do something now? I think it might be best if you could get out, but don't know your circs. I couldn't right now, for example, because ds2 is asleep in his cot. I could be ironing though!

MUM23ASD · 13/02/2008 15:07

posting on here stops me eating!!! but i'm going to make my son's their cups of teas ...they are due home from school by 3.30- and then i'll be ocuppied with them!

can't they make their own cup of tea?

luckylady74 · 13/02/2008 15:37

I'm thinking by mum23asd's name suggests they may not be able to make their own tea - apologies if they can!
I have eaten 2 malt loaves in a day - they are very moreish. If you haven't got it you can't eat it - i don't buy them now. Says she who's eaten half a loaf of homemade bread today !

MUM23ASD · 13/02/2008 16:05

I have never been know to eat less than a whole malt loaf in one sitting. Is it possible. I generally est well and am not overweight, but malt loaf...., esp with thick, cold butter. Sorry that's not helping is it?

I know I eat far more from boredom than hunger. This will sound a bit anal, but I keep a list of jobs to occupy me in just that kind of moment.

MUM23ASD · 13/02/2008 17:02

mmmmmmm...just how i had it- cold butter...REAL butter....

that list of jobs sounds a practical idea....i know if i can take my mind off it long enough i forget about wanting more!!!
