Flight earplugs to reduce pressure

Not sure where to post this so I’m trying here!
Im flying to France for Easter and need a new pair of flight earplugs for the reason above. On previous flights I’ve used Boots own earplugs with no success. I also sip plenty of water, eat boiled sweets all the time, yawn a lot and I’m still in so much pain from the pressure that I’m in pain crying.
Anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated x

Am not sure how ear plugs would help? The pain is due to the pressure building up in the middle ear - not in the external ear canal . This is relieved through the eustachian tube which is assisted by swallowing/sucking etc

I thought ear plugs designed for flights would alleviate pressure, perhaps I’ve misunderstood and need to rethink!

@Sunflower101 There are ear plugs for air travel which are small concertina type affairs which have a little hole in them to allow pressure change gradually. They do work
