Awaiting test results

Abridged version - nearly 50, obese, on HRT. Lower abdominal pain for a month.

I spoke with GP yesterday. Blood taken for testing - ovarian cancer and vasculitis (I have a history).

Now in a major meltdown of ‘what ifs’. Got a stack of work to do but can’t concentrate. DH in denial mode. No idea how long the results will take. Don’t want to worry kids. Best friends who would be my rocks both unavailable today (work and holiday). Not even sure why I’m posting. Catastrophising (is that even a word?) I think.

Didn’t want to read and run. I can’t imagine how anxious the wait must be, can the doctor give you a time frame? Much of this stuff is
much easier said than done but don’t let yourself get too worked up until the you the answer, what if it’s good news? The unknown is one of the worst parts, I’m sorry. Best of luck with the results
