Scarring on Kidney

I've had some ultrasound results today and they came back abnormal , but no action required.
When I asked the receptionist what was abnormal, she said there is scarring on the kidney.
Has anyone come across this?

My DD has this following a kidney infection when she was little. It's no issue, they monitored her blood pressure for a while after as apparently it can affect that, but she's been fine. No issue, don't even think about it being there 99% of the time

I had an ultrasound recently and the lady doing the scan told me right away that gallbladder and liver looked fine but there was some scarring on one kidney.

She asked if I had had water infections before (I have) and she just said it's probably been caused by that - I haven't needed any follow up about it.

Thanks @ShadowKittyit and @SmileyPaella I thought it would be due to water infections as I do get alot of them.

We can manage with one kidney. I found out recently I have a partial duplex kidney on one side it seems fine. (can sometimes be problematic)

They can do these blood tests to check for kidney function if you are worried.
