I'm so ill - Flu

Suddenly in the office on Friday I was freezing cold, went blue and was shaking uncontrollably, then a banging headache started. Made it home and crawled into bed and stayed there until just now, dragged myself down to the sofa. I've never felt this unwell in my life. I'm alternating between being soaked in sweat and freezing cold, my whole body, aches, I'm so dizzy I'm struggling to walk, I haven't eaten since Friday morning - feel sick even thinking about it.
I'm alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen. What's wrong with me? What else can I do?

@ThisIsWednesday you crawled around in the rain due to flu?

Yes. I gone on the school run and was unable to physically make it home. I couldn't stand up for more than a few steps. The longer I was out there the harder it was to stand and I ended up on the soaking pavement. What did you think I meant?

They probably thought you were exaggerating. I'm not surprised. It sounds a ridiculous state of affairs but I suppose you didn't think you were that ill when you started out on the school run and it crept up on you. Sounds like you were very ill indeed by the end of the walk.

For those with competitive flu symptoms, these are the list of possible symptoms. You need to have the virus for it to be flu. You don't need to have all the symptoms. You don't need to have them that badly.

Note, symptoms do not include 'unable to use phone' or 'can't walk to the toilet' for example.

I'm mostly recovered from the flu but I have developed pleurisy. Fml.

Ugh. FML indeed. Pleurisy is miserable. Do you have anti B's for it?

I remember my flu came on very quickly. About 3 hrs from feeling peaky to in bed and feeling wretched.

Because I've got it as part of a viral infection we are watching and waiting for now. I feel OK as long as I don't move or breath too much.
