Interested in other people's experiences of taking medication for migraines during pregnancy?

Neurologist has recommended a dose of 10mg amitriptyline, but I see the NHS website has some conflicting information about its suitability for use in pregnancy.

Background: 27 weeks, suffering for about 4-5 weeks with mixed headaches and (for first time) migraines. Barely 2 days pain/symptom free a week. Had eye test, all clear. PCOS, low blood pressure, existing anxiety & depression (have taken ADs in past), and undiagnosed fatigue disorder. Still waiting for GTT test next week.

Hi, I am a second time mother. First pregnancy was perfect. This one has had many problems the main one being migraines (with aura) I never suffered before & now I have them every week they started around 24 weeks, I am now 38 weeks. Doctors have advised me mostly to take paracetamol which doesn't help at all, my consultant told me to stay in a dark room & ride it our basically and avoid triggers (I have no idea what the triggers are) personally I haven't taken any medication as I just shake the anxiety it brings.

I hope you find some answers, sorry I couldn't help.

I had reflexology and learned techniques from that helped me. Not pregnant I have triptan meds. It didn’t eliminate them but did make it bearable.
