I’ve had issues with bad breath which came on all of a sudden. I can’t smell it myself but apparently it’s an appalling gone off smell (so I was told by ex DP). We have now broken up and now I don’t have anyone to smell my breath and tell if it’s for better day to day…

For background, I went to the dentist and they said I needed a filling. I got one and things got slightly better, along with better flossing etc.

The bad breath was still there though so I went back. Dentist said there were potential other fillings needed but nothing obvious. So I could pay for 3-4 other fillings/replace old fillings to see if that works but expensive and might not work.

Since then, I’ve been getting very sensitive teeth in the region where my new filling was. It’s almost painful at times.

What should I do? Replace all potential fillings? Is there any other specialist equipment better than X-ray if I paid more for to find maybe smaller holes that X-rays can’t see?

hoping to start dating again but I can’t start doing that without sorting my breath out!! Sorry TMI.

Not a dentist but have you tried using a tongue scraper to really clean it? My DH's breath has much improved since he started using one.
