Breastfeeding with weak immune - Bad?

I’ve BF since baby was born, recently I looked into donating milk and it had mentioned if certain conditions then they wouldn’t accept. I’ve always had a bad immune system as was diagnosed with Arthritis at a young age and have other health conditions. I know BF is meant to help babies immune but it got me wondering if they don’t accept milk from people with certain conditions, is it likely that I’m doing more harm than good by breastfeeding my baby? The last I’d want is for her to get my rubbish immune. I started BF because I wanted to help her immune as one of the benefits

There's absolutely no reason you shouldn't breastfeed with immune issues.

There's a few things like AIDS, HIV and TB that mean breastfeeding isn't possible and also certain medications like chemo and radiation therapy.

You are doing a great job so carry on!

Could the reason they don't accept be about the mother's health rather than the end milk product. Breastfeeding takes a lot out of you?

Carry on feeding ❤️ your child will be getting lots of immunity from your milk, well done xx

Unless you have HIV, your milk will be full of immunity-boosting factors. If any of your health issues are partly genetic, then your milk might even be protective of those issues for your baby. Congratulations on doing the very best for your little one x

I'd ask a proper medical professional, but I'd assume if anything even better for your baby as it will be building them up to have a resistance to whatever you have and not be susceptible to the same condition
