I never take Asprin but in so much pain I thought I would try them but didn’t realise they are an anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen.

should I be worried?

If I were you I'd phone 111 and specify exactly what I took and when dosages etc.

From NHS website: "If you take them together, aspirin and ibuprofen or naproxen may increase the chance of you getting side effects like stomach ache."

Did similar the other day (took Anadin as no paracetamol available, didn't think about the aspirin aspect) and had to look it up. Figured one dose would be ok and didn't have any side effects.

I think not having taken loads and having spaced them out as you have you should be fine. I was once sick from ibuprofen but I had taken so many for a few days in a row so it took a while to feel the effect.

PlateBilledDuckyPerson · 13/03/2023 18:46

How many of each did you take?

Cupofteaaa5 · 13/03/2023 18:53

If you only took 2 of each you'll be fine. You might get a sore stomach. It's not enough to do any damage.

If one dose of each 2 hours apart, you will be fine

purpledalmation · 13/03/2023 19:05

It will be fine. the worst that may happen is a little stomach irritation. Only take ibuprofen with paracetamol. Asprin isnt used much for pain because its just awful on the stomach. I've take a few doses and got horrible stomach pain. Neither will be an overdose.

Oh for goodness sake - really? You do know that people are on aspirin daily and take other pain killers?
