Just not getting over noro

I didn't know whether to put this in general health, mental or autoimmune category because I guess it could go in any.

I came down with norovirus a week ago, which I caught from my DS. 24 hours of vomiting, then diarrhoea and I've been stuck in a cycle of feeling nauseous and having diarrhoea bouts since. I had maybe one ok day at the weekend and now I'm back to very loud rumbling, nausea and diarrhoea again.

I've been taking probiotics to try and help my system a bit, and eating small plain meals when I fancy them (which isn't often), but I'm so worn down by it and my mental health is really starting to suffer too.

Rationally my brain is saying that it's just a nasty virus that has hit me hard, but I'm starting to feel really depressed (and BORED) because I have no energy to do much above the very bare minimum.

It really is the most awful virus. I have a phobia of vomiting so I do feel your pain as I get so horrifically depressed whenever I have a stomach bug. It takes ages for me to get over it and feel back to normal.

Im sorry it’s taking so long for you to recover. You could follow the BRAT diet for a bit to see if that resets your stomach?

Also I swear by herbal teas - peppermint etc is great!
