Is this blister infected?

Sorry for the disgusting photo. I got this blister a week ago. I can't walk well, can't put any shoes on that goes over it as its quite painful and the surrounding is swollen. I air it at home. Ever since I can remember I get a blister in the same place every year. Sometimes twice a year but this time it was exactly a year to the date and time that I got this one. I barely buy new shoes as my feet are wide. I only wear flats. Usaully trainers but they fit well as I get measured at clarks still (I know, lame) I haven't changed detergents or sock brand so I don't know what causes ut. This one has caused so much pain for me and I don't know if its infected. Little knocks hurt.

I get these and am diabetic so have to be careful, pop some germolene and a plaster on overnight for a few nights and give it a clean in the morning and you'll be dandy

Might be to do with dry skin in winter? A hydrocolloid plaster will help it heal and provide good cushioning. It looks as though it's healing, just in a place it's going to rub against shoes. Do you regularly moisturise your feet and ankles?

I moisturise daily on my feet. They don't rub in my shoes ti be honest. My son has juvenile plantar dermatitis which I also get the same on my hands and feet soles in the summer.
