Mirena or norovirus?

Hello, I had a Mirena inserted 6 days ago and was warned I might have some cramping, spotting, and funny tummy. Cramping - yes, spotting - yes but tummy all fine. Till yesterday early eve when I started feeling sick. I barely ate and went to bed super early with terrible bloated stomach. And today I have terrible.nausea and diarrhoea- it's really bad. Is this normal for after a coil or have I picked up a virus? I feel dreadful, have had to call in sick.

Sounds like you have picked up something. I am on my second Mirena and just got a bit of bloating/spotting/cramping.
Hope you feel a bit tomorrow.

I had cramps and bloating with mine.

my friend on the other hand had similar symptoms to you - nausea was brought on by pain I think. It was awful!

I do think if it was noro you’d have been actually sick by now

It was definitely noro...3 days of nausea, fatigue and raging diarrhoea. Couldn't face eating or even drinking more than sips. I lost 8 lbs 😲. Then it just lifted on Friday evening and now I feel OK although not much appetite and tummy still a touch gurgle. Still having mild cramping and spotting which I'm sure IS the mirena.
