Flying with 8 month old with ear infection (on antibiotics)

My DD had a hi temp for the last 24 hours (which has now gone back to normal) took her to the GP today who has said she has an ear infection. She has been given antibiotics which we have started her on today.

My issue is we are due to fly the day after tomorrow and I am worried about her being in pain due to the cabin pressure (I probably shouldn’t have read all the horror stories online!).

I did ask the GP about this and he seemed quite relaxed and said she is starting the antibiotics today and should be fine to fly by then.

Any reassuring stories out there of LO’s flying with an ear infection whilst on antibiotics?

TIA x

Put cups over her ears for take off and landing. That can help equalise the pressure and stop it from being painful. Or get her to have milk from a bottle as the sucking action can help as well.
