Itchy skin hell

About two weeks ago my upper body started itching. There’s no rash but after I’ve scratched it my skin feels goose bumpy. it’s bleeding and has burning sensation. Nothing on legs. Arms and back the worst. I’m putting E45 on twice a day as I thought it was dry skin. Any ideas please?

Are you scratching it when it itches? Because as impossible as it feels to ignore it, it does get easier the longer you train yourself not to scratch and scratching just ultimately makes it itch more.

You can Google the Itch Scratch Cycle for more info.

Yeah I have scratched it… I’ve made my skin bleed. Today I’ve resisted but it’s almost overwhelming. I’ll Google that so thanks for the info 👍

@GingerPigz hi! How long did the itching and redness lst after having an allergic reaction? I started taking beta blockers and ive stopped the. 2 weeks ago and im still it hy and have a rashy face :( c

@Starrr123 ... oh poor you! I honestly can't remember but would say at least a couple of weeks. I would say that E45 itch relief cream helped a lot, as did the Aveeno anti itch shower gel and body lotion.

@Starrr123 beta blockers have given me a burning face (with no rash, not even red ) rather than an itchy rash - I've had it months along with sore dry eyes- apparently it's quite common but I can't stand it so am trying to wean off them slowly
