Abnormal but expected

Doctor receptionist called me to tell me that was the result of my test.

I have no idea what this means.

To me, 'abnormal' isn't good.

And she didn't either. And there were no doctors to call me.

Then it turns out in spite of telling me it was about my urine sample, (making me worry about my kidneys which it what my urine is tested for)
Turns out it wasn't about my urine sample after all it was about an ear swab. But that was only because I called back and realised and double checked with her. Even then, she sounded really unsure with what she was telling me. I just wanted her to apologise for getting it wrong when she'd realised.

Is it ok to give feedback for this.
If I hadn't realised myself I would have spent the next few days thinking it was my urine. And tried to contact my consultant to question my urine results.

If you are in England you can see much of your medical record online as of Nov 22.

You absolutely can give feedback about this, a receptionist phoning you to say your results are abnormal should a) know what it is she’s telling you about because it will say it on the screen and b) have some basic instructions i.e there is a prescription to collect at reception or whatever.

I don't think I would have minded so much if she'd apologised for getting it wrong when the mistake had come to light. But I still had to clarify that the earlier conversation was wrong. Or if she'd said I understand why you're confused I'll get a doctor to call you back as soon as they're back in.
But she acted like I was in the wrong for pointing anything out. When I was never rude and never lost my rag.
