ds 7 keeps getting zits

I think he has a healthy diet etc but he keeps getting horrible whiteheads, esp on side of nose. Any ideas wht might cause them? How can I get rid of them?

I have a vague recollection of hearing about this in boys of that age.
So I'd say normal, but I've no experience I'm fraid.
