When will I be less tender after a laparoscopy? 🤕

I had a gynae laparoscopy on Tuesday. I had four incisions including my belly button.

Bugger me am I tender. It is quite uncomfortable to sit up and down, stand up straight, get out of bed etc.

I know my abdominal muscles have all be stretched and cut into and there’ll be some internal bleeding and bruising but can anyone give me an approximate day when I’ll feel less sore please? 😅

When I had one I remember asking the GP who removed my stitches. He said that inserting the laparoscope is akin to sticking a skewer into a piece of meat, and the muscle around the area would be bruised. I'm pretty sure it was over a week before it stopped feeling tender.

That’s exactly what it’s like!

A good while to go then, ah well. Thank you for replying x
