I was diagnosed with breast cancer grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma last week.
They have booked me in for a lumpectomy on the 10th March, unfortunately we have a 'trip of a lifetime' holiday booked to America and then a carribean cruise exactly two weeks later on the 24th March.
I havent arranged any travel insurance yet and travel company arent interested and say we would lose 100% of price paid (£15,000) if we cancel.
Has anyone any experience travelling abroad after a lumpectomy? Will i even get travel insurance to cover this? Thanks
