I've now had two letters from the same hospital, cancelling & re-making appointments I haven't made. One named a consultant I don't see.
Any ideas how to sort this out? They're from oncology outpatients, so I've called outpatients appts, oncology outpatient appts, oncology consultant's secretaries & the general hospital switchboard. Haven't managed to speak to anyone. Have left voicemail. Nothing. I tried PALS, emailed them twice, told them I thought it was someone else's appt & I wouldn't be attending & I suggested they might track down whoever did have that appt. Nothing, just an automated response saying they'll get back to me sometime in the next millenium (or so it felt).
I don't want someone with cancer to be making wasted journeys to the hospital. I don't want scarce, precious cancer appts to be wasted. I don't want to be marked down as DNA when it's not even my appt.
But what else can I do to fix this?
