Has anyone had this? I made the mistake of googling and am slightly stressed now, have been referred to a gynaecologist...

I had some whoppers, they were removed about 5 years ago and had a mirena coil put in and have had no problems since. Are you pre or post menopause?

Pre menopause, do they always want to remove them? Why did they put a coil in?

I had them removed as I was having horrible periods and they were the likely cause - the coil was to stop them coming back and also to help with the periods. No-one can make you have any medical treatment you don't want.

The good news is if you are pre menopause the odds of them being anything more sinister are massively reduced.

Same here. Had them removed and a coil put in. Best thing I ever did

Is it the same as an endometrial polyp?
