...as opposed to the more common low carb approach?
I have read the Mastering Diabetes book and it advocates whole foods plant based low fat, seems to have sound science behind it. Claims to reverse pre-diabetes and its underlying insulin resistance PERMANENTLY, as opposed to just keeping blood glucose low but remaining insulin resistant. i.e. spiking if/when you eat carbs again.
Any thoughts? Quite confusing to know what to do with such contradictory advice out there, so praying someone has some insights!! TIA MUCH
