Can I get this hydrocortisone cream OTC?

I had a mild case of ringworm under my arm last year 🤢 and I think it’s returned. (Think I’ve figured out it’s caused by disposable razors - I sometimes leave them on a shelf in the shower meaning they don’t dry properly and so probably develop bacteria?)

Anyway, I just checked my NHS app to see what cream the GP prescribed for it last year and it was ‘hydrocortisone 1%/miconazole 2%’. When I Google this, Daktarin comes up in the results although I don’t remember the cream I used having a brand name. Is that what it is and can I just buy this in the chemist or will I need to tell the pharmacist what it’s for (feel a bit embarrassed 🫣)

You can buy Daktarin, yes. Just tell the pharmacist it's for a fungal infection, I mean, that's what it's made for. They probably won't ask you though.

The GP probably prescribed a cheaper non branded one.
