Dry eyes

Strange question but does wearing glasses with just clear lenses help with this by keeping air away from your eyes ?? I'm 61 and My normal glasses aren't right as they are for short sightedness and hence I find them difficult to wear if just walking around as close stuff is then blurred and look a bit of a dick walking round with sunglasses on all day, including in the dark. I get a weird menthol type vibe in my eyes some of the time and a cold feeling. Most weird sensation. All started post covid for me. I have other neurological issues going on and have had tests, but haven't been tested for the autoimmune stuff like Sjogrens yet. My bloods and minerals all ok. Also where can I get dry eye diagnosed ?? would it be an optomotrist ? As my eyes seemed fine recently when I had new glasses at spec savers- but they probably aren't looking for this condition.

My optician first commented on my dry eyes, they were the ones who first highlighted it for me. N my last test I went to a different person and have been told that my dry eyes are severe and I now have drops to use throughout the day and a gel to use at night.

Interesting- and thanks. I have some gel drops- and I've only been using at night but might get some more to have on me in the day - see if it helps.
