I’ve got a skin condition that mostly effects my hands. I’ve been under dermatology for around 4 years and been on various different medications since the official diagnosis three years ago.
I’ve been seeing the nurses at my GP’s for dressings just so I can function, but the big problem is I keep getting infections, last year MRSA set in too, I’ve literally had at least one course of antibiotics every month since June 2021.
My GP has contacted microbiology a few times but not really got anywhere and they asked the dermatologist who wasn’t really interested, just told the GP to manage it. I’ve got a dermatologist appointment soon and my GP has told me to ask what they need to do. They treated the MRSA last summer (GP), with washes and nose ointment as well as 2 different oral antibiotics but a month later it was back.
I'm getting to the end of my tether with it after being awake since 2am as I just couldn’t get comfortable to be given more antibiotics today. They really can’t be doing me any good.
I just want someone to take charge!
