Is it normal to have weirdo (for me) period after a miscarriage?

I had a MC at the beginning of January. First AF since. It is horrible, not like my 'norm' at all.

That happened to me as well

belgo · 08/02/2008 15:06

yes, that's normal. But after that it should be fine.

suzywong · 08/02/2008 15:08

yep, normal

NatalieJane · 08/02/2008 15:15

Thought it might be, thanks

Hi Natalie, I remember you from threads on the mc boards.
Yep normal - bit heavier, sometimes longer, may stop and then start again a day or so later...
Your next one should be back to normal

NatalieJane · 08/02/2008 15:19

That is exactly what it is doing, started very light then got heavier, stopped then really heavy again. Normally I start heavy, then go really light and then it's gone, so nearly got caught out today when it came back again.

Quite painful as well which I am not used to.

NJ - yes, that's exactly what happened to me after my first m/c, I'd totally forgotton. it was very light for a couple of days, then very heavy, and to be honest it felt like I was m/cing all over again.

Thanks Belgo, that last bit of your post has really made me relax!
