Anything I can do ????? Do you need any mercy missions to tesco etc ?

GeorginaAdventCalendar · 06/12/2004 11:30

:( not really unless you have a miracle "anti-nausea" pill that's only just been invented and is perfectly safe

Videos, videos, videos

All the usual rules about limiting TV, limiting juice etc. are suspended. Whatever makes the day easier and go by faster for you.

Hope you feel better soon.

cranberryjampot · 06/12/2004 11:51

sorry for shouting earlier G Grin

Can you all snuggle in bed together and just sleep it off? Or am I being silly?

MrsDoobaubles · 06/12/2004 11:55

Georgina you have my full sympathy - I was like this last week. I didn't know what to do with myself. Take it easy xxx

NomDePlumPudding · 06/12/2004 13:14

Bugger Sad

Sorry about the delay, DD woke up so I had to tear myself away from MN Blush

Frizbe · 06/12/2004 13:19

bummer, if you live near a granny you could try and rope her into look after little un's, thus getting proper rest yourself?

wrapmefestively · 06/12/2004 13:26

Well on the odd occasion that I have been like that I have rung dh at work and insisted that he come home to help look after the children....

Hope you feel better soon

StNickschik · 06/12/2004 14:12

do you have a family member/helpful friend nearby to call on. I remember once we were all ill (dh and I with tummy bugs and dd with bad cold) we had to call mil and she put dh and I to bed with a bucket each and sat with dd and watched DVDs and ate ice cream!!! - a life saver (even though it pains me to say it!!!) Synpathise with you and you are not pathetic - big hugs.! When is dh/dp home?

GeorginaAdventCalendar · 06/12/2004 18:35

just popping in between getting some more water then going back to bed.

Had to SMS dh at lunchtime when I was throwing up fairly continously (sorry tmi I know) as I realised that it just wasn't safe for the dses (poor ds2 was howling because he'd sat unaccompanied in his chair after lunch for ages while I was in the bathroom).

Just as well really because dh is ill too but currently holding it together well enough to look after the kids.

Please tell me this is a 24 hr thing?

Hope you're feeling better today. Best wishes xxx

cranberryjampot · 07/12/2004 09:07

Georgina - can I come round please? Grin

GeorginaAdventCalendar · 07/12/2004 09:42

lol jampot Grin

Honestly, wouldn't wish this on anyone... feel so drained and lethargic.

Ds2 definitely has it now, poor mite and dread to think how little calories he's getting out of my milk at the moment :(

Georgina I know its natural as a mother but try not to worry about DS2 too much. DD had two tummy bugs in a row (I caught one of them so presumably affected my milk too) and the week after I took her to be weighed and she'd gone up from the 25th to 50th centile. She'd definitely had increased appetite in between so think DS2 will catch up. I gave DD dioralyte in a bottle because I was worried about dehydration and she loved it.
