Kids back pain

Hey all, I wondered if anyone would have any ideas of what may be causing my 8 year old daughters on going issues.

She has had pain in her back for around 7 weeks. It started on her left side and has progressed to her whole back. One night last week she poo’d herself during the night without realising it and was pretty upset when she woke up and found it. She has also had a loss of appetite on and off. She was admitted to hospital on Wednesday and they did blood tests and urine tests that all came back clear. She was let home yesterday with an urgent referral for an MRI.

She is still moving around fine but in quite a bit of pain and is definitely not herself. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.

How is she? My daughter complains of back pain middle back on and off. She’s just got over food posioning and has a bad cough so wondered if it’s from the food poisoning or coughing too kuch

Hey, she’s fine now. I think the physio decided she had grown really quickly and her muscles in her backs and down her legs were all too tight and needed to stretch out. Took about 6 months from first pains to being better. Was such a scary time though whilst they were trying to figure it all out. I hope your daughter is on the mend! A cough can definitely affect the muscles all around that area.
