Strange feeling in leg.

Hi, I’ve googled this with no joy, so I was wondering whether anyone could shed any light before I go to the Dr.

At the side of my right leg, about 6 inches above the knee, there is a feeling of pressure on my skin (it also sometimes feels wet, but not to the touch). Inside my leg, I get a sharp stabbing pain, like a very long sharp needle has stabbed me- it lasts a second then goes, but I’d say there are maybe at least 6 an hour. It’s been happening for about a week.

I did have a hip replacement on that side almost 6 months ago, but this is only just happening.

Has anyone had similar?

I'd speak to a doctor about that.

I’m going to ring tomorrow. The thing is, I’m not actually in a lot of pain, the stabbing thing is very brief. It’s more mild discomfort, but it is irritating and it’s getting more frequent.
