Soo i have a hysteroscopy 2 weeks ago or so. I came on my period today and i feel soooo sore like lower back and stomach?

i rang the drs as i was peeing alot and they gave me antibiotics for a UTI.
i suffer with awful heavy periods but this pain is relentless 😩
has anyone had a similar experience?

Do you know if they did an endometrial ablation or anything else while they were in there? Mine did and they told me periods might be irregular for a while but get lighter. First period after was light but went on for ages. If you do have an infection, hopefully the antibiotics will sort it out.

@OldFan thankyou for replying to me :)

my period isnt as heavy i must say but everything inside feels more sore ?? They took a biopsy of the endometrium wall? Xx

It could well be that you have some sort of infection. Either way please tell the doctor/consultant about the pain you're having. It could just be one of those things but I'm not a doctor or psychic or anything.

You shouldn't be in this amount of pain if it's unusual for you during a period. x

Ive suffered utis for years im 35 and its hell. I spend half the year easily on antibiotics and usually the 3 day ones never work for me and I have to go back for a 7 day course. The pain goes on and on like a band. The best I can say is a hot water bottle. My hubby used to making them for me it's the only slight relief I get from uti as painkillers don't touch it

@OldFan i suffer with painful periods so its a tricky one. Ill see how i go today, if it eases then its definitely related to my period . Thankyou :) x

@LadyJ2023 so i always get painful periods, but this time its even moreee painful. Not sure its because the hysteroscopy has irratated things. Im sure i have endometriosis, and i do have adenomyosis. My last antibiotic is this morning. Ill see if the pain eases. If not back to the drs tomorrow! Or i may even ring them later today. I also have covid so that maybe playing a part in my back pain x

@LadyJ2023 the drs done a urine sample and said it was clear. But they gave me a 3 day course just incase . I done a sample at work and things did pop up to show infection x

Me & my dd used to suffer from really severe period pain, then she read about red meat & periods. Stunning change. A decent portion of steak a few days before you're due to come on and zero pain.

@LoveMAFS Thats intresting! I always want steak when im due on i always thought its because i am Anemic!!
does your lower back really ache with it ? X
