Glandular Fever recurring

Does anyone have experience of glandular fever recurring? I've read it is unlikely to get it again but it can flair up again.

I had it first when I was 8 (now 32) and was really sick with it , ended up with CF afterwards. I got it again or had a flair up again (the consultant said I had it) when I was 15 was so poorly I ended up leaving school having a home tutor and sitting my GCSEs in hospital.

I know think I'm having another flair up , both time I have had it I have come out with red patches on my body , I have them again . My throat is so sore it's hurting me to talk . And my glands are absolutely massive and causing lots of pain in my neck and arm pits . I also have cuts around my mouth which I had both times. I'm also fatigued, my body is hurting .

Does anyone have any experience of this ? Any thing that might help ? I have a 2yo son and quite a stressful albeit flexible job , so can't rest as much as on previous occasions.

Also I know GPs are ridiculously busy and people are much sicker , so I want to avoid bothering them really as not much they can do.

I've had it twice, aged 16 and 25. Have gone on to have issues since which seem to be caused by ongoing presence of the Epstein Barr Virus.

Definitely worth a chat with your GP I would have thought.
