Blood test results

I had a full set of bloods done yesterday after I spoke to my GP about potentially being perimenopausal. He said it was unlikely as my periods are not showing any changes but requested the blood tests to see what's going on.

Get a phone call from doctors office this morning to say results have come back and I need to speak to the GP but first available appointment is in 4 weeks (phone appointment)

I can't imagine it's anything bad if I'm waiting that long but it's still worrying, I have an anxiety disorder which doesn't help. I had to wait 2 weeks to speak to the GP in the first place.

Just a bit of a rant I suppose but I may call them on Monday to see if I can get 'seen' before then 😳

Yes, definitely phone and explain that the wait will cause anxiety and can they indicate what it's in relation to.

Or, at least ask them to confirm it's not urgent.

Have you looked on the nhs app for the results?

Nemomarge · 11/02/2023 20:28

@Chewbecca yes, my GP/surgery doesn't link to it unfortunately.

@Awrite phoned them, all results back as normal so nothing to worry about, GP just wants to do a follow up appointment

Xx
