oh babybuttercup grade 1 is really early stages.

My mum had the same about 2 years ago (same time as kylie). She had a lumpectomy and a bit of radiotherapy just to be sure it had all gone and she is fine and has a mammogram once a year now.

babybuttercup · 07/02/2008 21:28

thanks that is reasuring. She is booked in on the 27th to have it removed, do you think she will also have to have radiotherapy?

I don't know if that is the norm. I know two other ladies who had completely the same scenario as my mum. radiotherapy is not the one that makes hair fall out and have sickness, It is like a laser that is directed where the lump was - not sure what it does really but is jsut an extra precaution. My mum had it everyday for 3 weeks (excluding weekends).

Hope this reassures you. Good that the hosp are acting quick. They dont hand around with these things.
