3 days of low level pain in the centre of my chest

It's right between my breasts but a bit lower, on the breast bone and is accompanied by a tremendous need to burp, all the time. What's going on?

The pain is uncomfortable but not agony, not indigestion or heartburn, I don't think, but that's not something I've ever suffered with.

It could be gastritis, what sort of pain is it? After 3 days of it I’d probably want to double check with a health professional to be sure it isn’t anything more serious.

Chest pain - I’m not a medic, and don’t know your age/medical history, but I’d be getting that checked out to be honest.

I've got similar when breathing , especially exhaling. Got a Dr face to face tomorrow about it as I've had it for a while now.

JustDanceAddict · 07/02/2023 18:31

Could well be heartburn, i would speak to GP

Photosymphysis · 07/02/2023 18:49

Could be heartburn, could be heart attack 🤷‍♀️

I think seeing a medical professional sooner rather than later would be best.

Heart attack in women presents very differently to in men.

YukoandHiro · 07/02/2023 19:06

Heart attack can present like this in women. Seek a medical check up and ask that question directly

Have you still got your gallbladder? Sounds like me before I had mine taken out.

Notjusta · 07/02/2023 19:11

I agree with PP that you shouldn't ignore chest pain, but have you tried some gaviscon to see if that helps?

Namenic · 07/02/2023 19:19

See a doctor.

MaverickGooseGoose · 07/02/2023 19:23

Heart burn, heart attack, pleurisy, costochondritis - you need to get checked out.

I though I was dying when I had costo

Could be reflux where acid is coming up and making you burp etc. Try some Gaviscon liquid to swallow a this coats the oesophagus and works quicker and better than tablet form. Gaviscon Advance I find good. But yes certainly if you are worried and have tried some things then yes contact a doctor.
