Pain one month after gallbladder removal

Seasonofthewitch83 · 07/02/2023 13:00

I had my gallbladder removed and a large cyst drained a month ago. My recovery was textbook, however I have obviously got ahead of myself and I think I have disturbed the wound on my liver, as I have sharp stabbing pains in my right under rib area. It is sometimes so bad that I cant move if I have stretched the wrong way, I end up frozen in pain. I am trying heatpads, painkillers and as much rest as I can while working full time with a toddler, but I can barely walk past a slow amble because I cant take deep breaths if I exert myself. I cant even yawn or sneeze as it hurts so much.
Is there anything I can do at home? Or is it something I need to flag with a GP?

You are 4 weeks post-op and you have new pain. Very definitely see the GP asap.
